As a company committed to sustainability and community building, we are honored to support such a worthwhile event that not only promotes physical health but also raises awareness and funds for an important cause.
Tour du Rouge has become a beloved tradition for cyclists across the southern United States, and we are proud to be a part of it for another year. Keep reading to learn more about this fantastic event and why we choose to sponsor it year after year.
What is Tour Du Rouge?
Tour du Rouge, a 15-year long tradition, is a 540-mile trek across the Gulf Coast in support of The Arc, an organization founded by parents of people with developmental disabilities. These disabilities include Autism, Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder among others.
The Arc uses the proceeds from Tour de Rouge to continue advocating for the human rights of people with disabilities. This advocacy is achieved through various initiatives that impact public policy, community building, and sectors such as education, technology, and health.
When and where does the Tour Du Rouge take place?
Tour Du Rouge is starting on May 6 and will finish on May 13. Riders will start in Houston, Texas for a grand send-off, and finish in New Orleans, Louisiana, stopping in many historic Gulf Coast towns along the way. The journey will take 6 days total with rest stops every 20-25 miles. Lodging and meals, as well as support vehicles, will be provided for the riders along the way.
