Tell us a little about your position at Fluid Truck.
I’m a Customer Care Supervisor, and I’ve been here for five years in October!
What’s your favorite part of your job?
My team! I am super happy to be part of the customer care team. They're the best. I also love to have the opportunity to mix cultures and share different opinions and stuff. It’s great to have the opportunity to work with people from other countries.
When you aren’t working, what are you usually doing?
I'm with my friends, I go out and go to parties and dinners. If not, I'm reading books. My hobby is reading books. Or cooking, I like to cook!
A book I recently read that I loved is called El Sol Mueve La Sombra De Las Cosas Quietas [The Sun Moves the Shadow of Still Things], by Alejandra Kamiya.
And I like to cook steaks and meat. One of my favorite dishes to cook is an Argentinian thing called guiso de lentejas [lentil stew]. It's a tradition to eat that dish during holidays, like independence day.
Do you have any pets?
I have a cat named Ziel!
What’s your favorite quote?
You only live once!
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I remember when I first became a team leader, Manu told me that I need to trust in my team. If I don't trust my team, I won't go anywhere. That advice really changed the way I delegate things. It reduced the workload I put on my shoulders.
What motivates you at work?
My team. I want to make things right for them and be the leader that they need.
If you had a TED Talk, what would it be about?
What it's like to be a woman in leadership. Sometimes we need to speak up a little bit more or say our opinions louder. I would talk about feminism and being a leader.
What’s your favorite snack while you’re working?
I like sandwiches. With whatever I find in my fridge!
What would you tell someone who wants to come work at Fluid Truck?
Here you can really use your brain as a sponge and learn things every single day. If you have that motivation you can learn from every dept because everyone is open to teach. The learning experience and everything I learned here is something that nobody can take away from me.
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Zombie movies! I watch all of them and read books about them too. Like how to survive a zombie apocalypse.
